Lord Ganesha is the supreme God of wisdom and prosperity. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha. It is one of the famous Hindu festivals, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, especially in Maharashtra. The first step is Pranapratishhtha, where people bring statues of Lord Ganesha in their houses. It is followed by Shodashopachara puja, where people offer Modak, coconut rice, and payasam. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for ten days, and on the 11th day, Ganesh Visarjan takes place. Lord Ganesha takes away all the negativity from the house and blesses everyone with happiness and prosperity.
