Human Rights Day is annually observed on 10th December. The United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), a milestone document that proclaims the rights that every human being is entitled to regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or language. This year's Human Rights Day theme, "Recover Better - Stand Up for Human Rights," relates and focuses on the COVID-19 pandemic and how to build back ensuring Human Rights are central to recovery efforts by addressing the failures exposed and exploited by COVID-19. Presidians joined hands to reaffirm the importance of human rights in re-building the desired world. They showcased global solidarity through posters, slogans, and speeches.
