International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 is an international observance since 1992 to help everyone become more compassionate and understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities. The observance aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights, and well-being of persons with disabilities. The day raises awareness of the political, economic, social, and cultural aspects, a disability affecting people around the world. Presidians were made aware of this day and were sensitized to the needs people with disabilities have and we as responsible citizens to adhere and help them.
