The Indian independence movement from 1857 to 1947, was a series of historic events during the British Raj, starting with the Indian rebellion of 1857, with the ultimate aim of ending British rule on the Indian subcontinent. Our Visionary Political Leaders under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi worked on the lines of Satyagraha and successfully attained freedom. While studying the Chapter of Social Science History- The Making of the National Movement: 1870s -1947, Students of Grade 8 Punjabi Bagh wrote about their favorite movements. By this activity, they were able to recapitulate the movements they had done in class.
