World Water Day, held on 22 March every year, focuses on the importance of freshwater. This year the focus is groundwater, an invisible resource with an impact visible everywhere. Groundwater feeds springs, rivers, lakes, and wetlands, and seeps into oceans. Groundwater supplies a large proportion of the water we use for drinking, sanitation, food production, and industrial processes. To create awareness amongst all, Presidians took a step to make others aware of saving water. They created posters, slogans and enacted role play on ways of saving water. We need to work together to sustainably manage this precious resource.
