STUDENTS CELEBRATE CHILDREN’S DAY WITH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

Presidium believes that “Children are the flowers of the most beautiful garden in the world.”

Our Children’s Day Virtual celebrations focused primarily on children and their enjoyment. To celebrate the spirit of childhood, a special assembly was organised at Presidium on the occasion of Children’s Day. The students were delighted to attend the Virtual celebrations as the teachers wished them a very happy Children’s Day. Special performances, presented by teachers, added a special touch to the celebration. The virtual celebration was zeal packed with fun, humour, surprises and excitement. The teachers wished all the students all the success in their future endeavours and motivated the leaders of tomorrow to be the torchbearers of change and a better future.

STUDENTS MARK CANCER AWARENESS DAY

National Cancer Awareness Day was first announced by the Indian Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan in September 2014, and that 7th November will be observed as National Cancer Awareness Day every year to generate awareness about early detection and avoid leading cancer-causing lifestyles. Presidians also participated in this awareness program by making posters, drawings, etc.

BHAI DOOJ: HERE’S TO THE LIFELONG BOND OF LOVE!

Bhai Dooj is one of the very few festivals which reaffirms the pious relation of siblings. Presidium also celebrated this festival on Dwitiya Tithi of Chaitra Paksha with great enthusiasm & zeal. On this day, sisters applied Tilak on their brothers' forehead & prayed for their well-being. Brothers also gave gifts to their sisters for showing their affection.

Virtual Diwali Celebration- Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated with great avidity and zeal at Presidium to make the students understand the importance of Diwali. ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights.' The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. The special morning assembly wherein students delivered speeches on the significance of the festival and the relevance of eco-friendly celebrations. The assembly was filled with festive spirit and fervour.

National unity day - also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed each year on 31st October to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This year marks the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel, Iron man of India. Presidians celebrated national unity day to provide an opportunity to reaffirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity, and security of our country. Students learned about the various contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in building the nation.

TALENT HUNT COMPETITION HONES SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS

Talent Hunt is an event, which gives a platform to students to represent their talents in any field. It not only helps the participating students to show their abilities but also motivates other students to come upfront and show their hidden potential. Grade 4 and 5 students of Presidium displayed their abilities magnificently. All the students actively participated in the event and have shown their enthusiasm and dedication in their efforts. We take the opportunity to congratulate each participant for making the competition a platform to explore, learn and harness the skills we all have.

STUDENTS CELEBRATE EID-E-MILAD WITH FERVOUR!

Eid-e-Milad is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad. People on the day of Eid-e-Milad start their day with a morning prayer followed by a procession and large gathering in mosques. Children are narrated stories of Muhammad, about his life and preachings as mentioned in the Holy Quran. The day ends with donations towards the needy and poor people. Friends and family are also invited to be a part of the festivities. At Presidium Eid Milad was celebrated with great fervor and excitement. Students explained the meaning, purpose, and the subsequent celebration of the day through posters, speech, and play.

STUDENTS MARK THE AUSPICIOUS OCCASION OF DUSSEHRA VIRTUALLY

The festival Dussehra makes a massive contribution as it is the culmination of the nine-day Navratri festival and with the tenth day of the Durga puja festival. Dussehra is also known as Vijayadashami as it is also a celebration of female divinity as it marks the killing of the demon Mahishasura by goddess Durga. Dussehra was celebrated virtually at Presidium keeping the festive spirit alive. The festivals mark Lord Rama's victory over Ravana and reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil. The Programme began with a soulful invocation song followed by speeches. Dance and theatrical performances by students glorified the celebrations. The primary objective of the entire show was to convince the students that no matter how intelligent a person is, his pride will be the reason for his collapse.

PRESIDIANS ENTHRALL ALL WITH THEIR DAZZLING PERFORMANCES

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul.”
Dancing is a great form of exercise, and a love of dance from an early age can help motivate kids to stay active as they grow into adults. It increases the students’ flexibility, range of motion, physical strength, and stamina. Presidians of grade prep showcased their talent for dancing through an Intraclass Dance competition. They danced on various folk songs, patriotic songs wearing beautiful costumes, and using different props which encouraged their creativity and imagination as well as helped them learn about expressing themselves in a way that’s beneficial to their physical and mental health.

International Day of the Girl Child is an international observance day declared by the United Nations. It is also called the Day of Girls. The theme, this year, is “Digital generation. Our generation.” Like every year, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) will celebrate International Day of the Girl Child 2021 reaffirming its pledge to promote the progress of girls and safeguard their rights. It supports and provides more opportunities for girls and increases awareness of gender inequality faced by girls worldwide based upon their gender. Our proud Presidians enlightened gender equality through various quotes and pictures.
