On the auspicious occasion of 73rd Republic Day, Presidium organised a Special Virtual Assembly. The assembly started with welcoming of the dignitaries, the unfurling of the National Flag followed by the School Choir which was sung in harmony. The main attraction of the Virtual Assembly was the Inter-State Dance Competition where students from Nursery to Grade 8 participated with avidity and passion. The entire program was suffused with the spirit of Nationalism and Patriotism. The students participated zealously by showing their creativity in making posters, recording speeches and slogans.

National Girl Child Day in India is celebrated on January 24 every year. The day was an initiative of the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2008. The objective behind celebrating the National Girl Child Day is to provide support and opportunities to the girls of India. It also aims towards promoting awareness about the rights of the girl child and to increase awareness on the importance of girl education, and their health and nutrition. Empowering women and girls and promoting gender equality is crucial to accelerating sustainable development. Ending all forms of discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, but it also has a multiplier effect across all other development areas. Students of Presidium discussed the rights to equality to girls and took a pledge to respect and treat everyone equally.

Story writing is a skill designed to amuse the reader. It is a creative skill that involves both reader and writer. Students apply their imagination and pen them down in easily understandable language. While writing a story a student is well aware of the key elements to keep the curiosity of the reader intact. Through the concept of story writing, students learned to write meaningful dialogues which very well portray the expressions of the character. Students learned the skill of forming a storyline which has conflicts, mystery and there is a turning point that leads to a meaningful climax or resolution and the story ends making a connection with the overall theme line. Through this activity students mastered their skills of writing a good storyline.

Our Grade 4 students of Presidium enjoyed making their own weighing scales and recorded their responses. They tried weighing different objects on a balance and learned that the lighter side goes up and the heavier side goes down. The students were exposed to different pictures and videos to develop their understanding of comparing weights. They thoroughly enjoyed this activity and had a great time.

Yes, it is indeed the most joyous occasion as the series of winter harvest festivals starts with Lohri, Makar Sankranti, and Pongal kick-off.

Road safety is the prevention and protection of road accidents by using all the road safety measures. People's safety on the road is one of the most important aspects in order to avoid roadside accidents, injury, and death. Everyone should respect others while driving or walking on the road and take care of their safety. Following all the road safety measures helps a lot to protect all the road problems. Some effective measures of road safety are basic awareness about the vehicle, defensive driving according to weather and road conditions, use of vehicle lights and horn, wearing a seat belt, well use of vehicle mirrors, avoiding over-speeding, understanding road lights, maintaining a distance of vehicle on road, etc. Presidians explained the meaning, purpose, and importance of road safety through drawings, slogans, and posters.

Lohri the festival which ushers in the joyous spring and bids cheerio to the cold winter was celebrated virtually at Presidium School with exhilaration. Lohri festival offers an aspect of our culture. The special assembly was throbbing with speeches, songs, and bhangra dances. The Presidians pull out all the stops to celebrate the festival altruistically. The students expressed their happiness by making posters, artwork, and drawings to express their feelings, joys and thoughts.

National Youth Day is celebrated on 12 January on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birthday. Swami Vivekananda has taught the youth of the country through the message —let's be human. He dwelt on the capabilities of the youth and wanted them to train themselves in order to serve humanity. He wanted the youth to have 'muscles of iron' and 'nerves of steel'. Presidians were briefed about the Nation Youth Day and they celebrated National Youth Day through sharing Slogans, Speeches, and beautiful Posters.

भारत कहें या फिर हिंदुस्तान जिसमें तमाम भाषा और संस्कृति के लोग रहते हैं लेकिन इस देश के दिल में बसती है तो हिंदी। जी हां इसी हिंदी को समर्पित है विश्व हिंदी दिवस' जो 10 जनवरी को देश के साथ ही साथ पूरी दुनिया में मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य विश्व में हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिये जागरूकता पैदा करना तथा हिन्दी को अन्तरराष्ट्रीय भाषा के रूप में पेश करना है। विश्व में हिन्दी का विकास करने और इसे प्रचारित-प्रसारित करने के उद्देश्य से विश्व हिन्दी सम्मेलनों की शुरुआत की गई। प्रिसीडियम में बच्चों ने इस दिवस को धूम धाम से मनाया जिसमें बच्चों ने इस दिन के प्रति जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया व कई रोमांचक कार्यक्रम पेश किए।
