‘Literacy is a foundation to build a more sustainable future for all’. To accentuate this strong message, 'World Literacy Day' was celebrated by our Grade-2 Presidians. The theme highlighted the importance of literacy among individuals, communities and societies. They threw light on the quality of education and life-long learning opportunities and how everyone has the equal right to gain education. They participated in an assembly which aimed to promote ‘Right to Education and Literacy Skills’ among children and the helper staff. Students truly instilled the value of being literate and the urge to serve the society in the most valuable and productive way.

It is said that Parents are a child's first teacher who give them life lessons' and after them comes the Guru or teacher who leads the child ahead in life. In the young and impressionable years, teachers play a very important role-- they are our role models, inspiration, and parent-figures. To honour these remarkable people i.e the Teachers,our Chairperson Mrs .Sudha Gupta bestowed the Chairperson Honours for Teachers by awarding them with trophies and certificates in recognition of their vital role in upheaving, inspiring and encouraging the students. The Honour raised the moral of the teachers and boosted their zeal to strive to achieve even higher benchmarks .

PRESIDIANS SALUTE THEIR MENTORS ON TEACHER’S DAY

Presidium Punjabi Bagh celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. The assembly began with a dance performance on ‘Sarawati Vandana’ followed by the thought and talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. September 5 is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – the second President of India who was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a teacher. A beautiful poem highlighting the importance of aguru (teacher) was recited. Students also presented their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers. Students thanked all the teachers for their diligence, sincerity and hard work. The school rejoiced, danced and played fun-filled activities together creating memories to cherish forever.

With this valuable objective in mind Presidians culminated their learning on chapter "Plants". Plants/trees play a very important role in our life. They fulfil our food, timber, fibre and medicinal needs. They are helpful in mitigation of environmental pollution and are the source of oxygen. The students sowed seeds and observed various stages of the development of plants. They created conducive conditions necessary for the development of a seed to the baby plant(embroy). Thus, students were not only inspired to grow plants in their vicinity but also to take care of them by watering them regularly. Learning and application of knowledge enlightened the young minds to nurture the Plants for a Beautiful and Healthy Future.

Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. To accentuate the significance and importance of Janmashtami,a special assembly was organised at Presidium Punjabi Bagh. The entire Assembly was spectacular and informative. The high spirited Presidians from Nursery to Grade 6 participated with vigour and joy.
Speeches, Poetry, Songs, scintillating Theatrical and dance performances enthralled the audience.The school choir sang in unison. The Assembly concluded with invoking God's blessings and a message that Almighty will always show us the right path of life and bestow us with peace, success and happiness.

STUDENTS RAISE AWARENESS ON SOCIAL ISSUES AT SKIT COMPETITION

To enrich social awareness and promote healthy competition, an inter club skit competition was conducted in Presidium Punjabi Bagh for the students of Grade 6.The Skit Competition gave young leaders, a platform to express themselves. They are energetic and creative and they got an opportunity to become messengers and spread awareness on various social and global issues. Students were excited to to put their best foot forward to win! It was a wonderful experience for all students.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE ETHOS OF FREEDOM

Independence Day at Punjabi Bagh was a celebration which brought enthusiasm and the true feeling of patriotism amongst all. It brought the feeling of nationalism and the power of being free and liberated. The ceremony began by hoisting the flag by our honourable Auntyji and Uncleji who graced the momentum of the celebration followed by a March past depicting the brave army soldiers, navy officers and air force commanders and sang the national anthem marking the respect towards the nation. The entire school rejoiced with colours of the Indian flag. The musical performances by students remembering our great freedom fighters, national songs by choir group, heart wrenching speeches took the celebration to a higher level.
