Presidium Punjabi Bagh students hoisted a special assembly to pay their ‘Gurus’ a tribute on Guru Purnima. Students performed a skit ‘Eklavya’ which showcased dedication towards Guru Dronacharya. The mesmerising skit was followed by a group song, shoklas and speeches highlighting the importance of the gurus in our lives. The Presidians also acknowledged the importance of the teachers in their life. May our Gurus continue to shine and lead us the way through life.

Morning is a time to thank, cherish and a day to look up for new things, hopes, beginnings and aspirations! Today’s morning at Presidium has indeed been a memorable one as our Presidians joined school after a long summer vacation. The fun filled activities such as selfie corner, knocking adventures, putting physical warm up fitness action, hands on creativity art and colourful bookmarks organised by teachers lifted the spirits of our Presidians and geared them up for a great term ahead filled with learning and opportunities.

Presidium Punjabi Bagh celebrated Father’s Day with an endeavour to make all fathers of our students feel very special. Beautiful performances and speeches enthralled the fathers with pride and joyous smiles. Fathers spontaneously articulated their special sentiments on how they bond with their children and what is best about them. The celebrations marked a grand day for fathers to feel loved by their tiny tots and celebrate the relationship between them.

CHAIRPERSON, MRS.GUPTA MAKES MOTHER’S DAY SPECIAL FOR PRIDEENS

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. This being one of those occasions that none of us can afford to miss was zealously enjoyed by one and all. The event made an earnest effort to instill the importance of mothers in a child’s life through effective presentations, heart-melting performances and speeches. The honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta also graced the occasion. The students warmly welcomed Ma’am and expressed gratitude to her for being the perfect guide and mentor for them. Ma’am showered her blessings on the students and also expressed her pride in witnessing them grow into wonderful human beings. Heart-warming feelings filled the air with gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement for the mommies. All in all, it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts. Earth Day is a day to protect, conserve and value our Mother Earth. Like every year students of Presidium Punjabi Bagh decided to take a pledge to make a lifestyle change that would impact not only inside but also outside the school. To articulate the importance of this day, different activities were hosted like cleanliness drive, planting saplings in a coconut to reuse, making posters, pledge boards, wearing earthy headgear with message “I am the Earth’s Caretaker”. The event was made even more successful with thought provoking speeches and a play that showcased measures for need of the hour to create a Happy Earth, Happier Life!

YOUNG CHESS CHAMP EMERGE VICTORIOUS!

Sahib Singh participated in the recently concluded Asian Youth chess championship 2019 held in Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka where players from 23 countries took part in the three different formats of Chess- Rapid, Blitz and Standard spread over 10 days. Sahib, playing in U12 open category, showed remarkable form in Rapid and blitz formats and defeated and drew with much higher rated opponents. He received an individual bronze medal in Blitz and was individually fifth in the Rapid event. His performance helped his team India to clinch the gold medals in team events of both Blitz and Rapid. So, he has got 2 team gold medals and an individual bronze. He even got featured in an article on Indian contingent's performance published in Chessbase, the biggest chess magazine.
