Every year the first Sunday of August is celebrated as Friendship Day in India. The day is dedicated to the importance of friendships and how it shapes us as people. It is the purest form of human relationships that is not strung by blood but by love. The day was first celebrated in 1935 to celebrate the strong bonds and dedication between friends despite several differences of caste, colour, race, and culture. In India, Friendship Day is celebrated by tying a friendship band on their friend’s wrists and making promises to their best friends. Presidium students celebrated Friendship Day with the same zeal and attitude. They shared about the qualities their friends acquire and exhibited their bond by making cards for them.

International Tiger Day - also known as Global Tiger Day - is observed each year on 29 July to raise awareness about tigers - an endangered species. According to the United Nations, the global tiger population has declined by 95% over the past century, due to habitat loss and wildlife trafficking. Presidians celebrated International Tiger Day to raise awareness around the need for tiger conservation around the globe. Students learned about the impact of human activities like illegal poaching and wildlife trade, habitat loss, and human conflict. On this international tiger day, let’s join hands to save our national animal Tiger and protect them as The roar is rare!

To commemorate the sacrifices of our brave hearts, Kargil Victory Day or Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated nationwide on 26 July every year. Kargil Day was celebrated at Presidium with a great sense of Patriotism and zeal. To pay reverence to the brave heroes of the nation who sacrificed their lives to protect sovereignty and peace. Students were told about the soldiers and in return acknowledged their brave deeds accomplished by them. The students also paid their respects to the highly spirited souls who guard the borders of India against enemy infiltration in extreme conditions.

Guru Purnima is a day celebrated by students to pay respect to their Guru. This day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of guru Ved Vyas. Guru refers to a spiritual guide who enlightens disciples by his knowledge and teachings. Guru Purnima is also celebrated by Buddhists in honour of Gautam Buddha to commemorate the day when Buddha gave his first sermon at Senate, UP. The festival was revived by Mahatma Gandhi to pay tribute to his spiritual guru Shrimad Raj Chandra. On this auspicious day of Guru Purnima, Presidians expressed their gratitude and respect towards their gurus through various forms of art as their teachings have always taught them to follow the path of wisdom and truthfulness.

Water is the most abundant compound on the Earth's surface. Water exists in solid, liquid, and gaseous states in nature which depend on the physical properties of water. Grade 2 students were introduced to all the important Properties of Water, i.e. Float, Sink, Smell, Taste, Colour, and shape of water. Students were encouraged to build their understanding by performing various class activities which gave them a real experience of the different properties of the water. They also got connected with the fact that few things mix with water and few don't. Our proud Presidians of Grade 2 showcased the Important Properties of water through different pictures and also learned the importance of water and ways to save water.

Eid al-Adha marks the culmination of the hajj (pilgrimage) rites at Minā, Saudi Arabia, near Mecca, and is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world. Eid al-Fitr is distinguished by the performance of communal prayer (ṣalāt) at daybreak on its first day. At Presidium, Eid was celebrated with great fervor and excitement. Students explained the meaning, purpose, and the subsequent celebration of Eid through posters, speech, etc. They were also told about how this festival brings special cheer for the students as they wear new clothes and get money or Eidi and relish sweets on the occasion.

Nelson Mandela International Day (or Mandela Day), in honour of Nelson Mandela, has been celebrated each year since 2009 on Mandela's birthday. Mandela Day is a global call to celebrate the idea that each individual has the power and ability to make an impact and transform the world. The celebration of this international day recognizes and gives credence to the former South African President Nelson Mandela’s commitment to human rights, conflict resolution, and reconciliation. An international campaign has been initiated by the Nelson Mandela Foundation on Nelson Mandela Day, which sums up what Mandela stands for. To promote Nelson Mandela Day students of the Presidium celebrated this day through sharing slogans, speeches, and posters.

International Justice Day is observed every year on July 17, with the main aim to promote international criminal justice and as a way to support the work of the International Criminal Court. This is also celebrated in order to unite everyone who wants to support justice, promote victim's rights, and prevent serious crimes. People worldwide aspire for peace, justice, and respect for the rule of law and human dignity. Students at Presidium identified the importance of the same and felt motivated and aspired to be just in their acts. Discussions on being courageous and just were taken up with students.
