The National Sports Day is observed every year to spread awareness about the importance of sports and games in the life of every individual. National Sports Day in India is celebrated on 29 August, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the students and develops their team spirit. It helps students to develop mental and physical toughness. Students should actively participate in sports to avoid being tired and lethargic. Students of Presidium showcased their talents through various activities like Yoga, Cricket, Chess, etc. They also manifested their love for sports through poems, slogans, and speeches.

PRESIDIANS REVEL IN THE CELEBRATION OF GANESH CHATURTHI

Lord Ganesha is the supreme God of wisdom and prosperity. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha. It is one of the famous Hindu festivals, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, especially in Maharashtra. The first step is Pranapratishhtha, where people bring statues of Lord Ganesha in their houses. It is followed by Shodashopachara puja, where people offer Modak, coconut rice, and payasam. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for ten days, and on the 11th day, Ganesh Visarjan takes place. Lord Ganesha takes away all the negativity from the house and blesses everyone with happiness and prosperity.

PRESIDIANS STRENGTHEN THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF POLYGONS!

Polygons are 2-dimensional shapes, made of straight lines, and the shape is "closed" (all the lines connect.) Triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons are all examples of polygons. The name tells you how many sides the shape has. For example, a triangle has three sides, and a quadrilateral has four sides. Grade 4 students were introduced with different types of quadrilaterals and polygons. Students were encouraged to build their understanding by performing various class activities. They showcased it through different pictures and videos.

August 19 is World Photography Day, a day to pay homage to the history of photography, celebrate the present, and leave a positive trail for the future. World Photography Day originates from the invention of the daguerreotype, a photographic process developed by Louis Daguerre. Students of Presidium celebrated world photography day with great zeal and enthusiasm. Students expressed themselves through quotes and speeches.

Independence day marks the end of British rule in 1947 and the establishment of a free and independent Indian Nation. It is celebrated on 15th August as a national holiday in India. In Hindi, it is known as the SWATANTRA DIWAS National flag of India is hoisted at the Red Fort in Delhi. Speech by the Prime Minister and President, parade, fireworks, singing patriotic songs are the major highlights of the celebration. Students of Presidium manifested their love and dedication for their country through their speeches, dances, slogans, and songs. They conveyed a message that they are proud and true Indians.

PRESIDIANS JOYFULLY SING KRISHNA SHLOKAS TO CELEBRATE JANMASHTAMI

Janmashtami is a magnificent festival celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. To accentuate Janmashtami's significance and importance, a special virtual assembly was organized by Presidium. The assembly began with the Hare Krishna music. The auspicious occasion was surrounded by Shlokas, which mesmerized the audience, virtual Choir, which was sung in unison, speeches which stated the various facets of Shri Krishna's life and adorable Virtual dance performances on Lord Krishna. "Nobody can do for little children what grandparents do. Grandparents sort of sprinkle stardust over the lives of little children." Grandparents are the family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honor them, Presidium involved Grandparents in special activities. Students presented a beautiful token of love (flowers, crown, sash, etc.) to their grandparents. Daadi, Daadu, Naani, and Nani shared a few experiences with children and even sang lovely songs. Children as well as grandparents had a fantastic time.

'The love between a brother and a sister is one of the deepest and virtuous of human emotions.' Rakshabandhan is a festival that celebrates the love and affection between brother and sister. The bonding between the two is simply remarkable and is beyond words. Students of Presidium celebrated this festival with abundant fondness and enthusiasm. Students of grade nursery to seventh eagerly celebrated the solemn festival of Rakshabandhan. The students of class 4 presented a meaningful skit on the significance of this blessed festival. The ethos of the festival was further conveyed through the recitation of poems, sharing the pictures of the celebration and enthralling dance performances.

They created beautiful friendship bands and cards and expressed themselves through poems, quotes, and speeches.

The International Tiger Day (also known as Global Tiger Day) is celebrated every year on 29 July to raise awareness about tiger conservation, promote the protection of the natural habitat of tigers and support tiger conservation issues. The annual day is celebrated with the slogan, "Their survival is in our hands." It's said that "Where tigers thrive, it is a sign that the ecosystem is healthy." Bringing this global issue in everyone's notice and taking a step ahead in saving Tigers students of Presidium did a campaign by making posters, sharing their thoughts, and expressing their views through different slogans and poems.
